The co-founders of UTP Consulting, David Whittle and Paul Arwas, have between them 60+ years’ experience in the energy, clean tech, finance and telco sectors

Together we bring extensive experience from leading complex technology enabled transformation projects, and the commercialisation of technology start-ups. Our multi-cultural experience includes North America, Middle East, India, Australia and Africa, and across much of Europe

David Whittle

  • Over 30 years of experience in both industry and consulting roles for the Oil & Gas, Utiities, Retail, Financial and Leisure sectors

  • Proven track record for designing and leading large scale, technology-enabled business transformation projects
  • Provides thought leadership and drives results through operating model design and delivery, process excellence, developing client team competencies, and implementing enabling technologies

  • Formerly Director and VP at Arthur D Little working with leading oil and gas and chemical companies
  • Extensive experience of interim management in start-up companies including CEO and Chair at Inflowmatix (an IoT start-up)
  • Advisor to ventures investors including Cognis Capital and Charles Street Capital
  • Run major innovation and policy reviews for the UK Government around energy and renewables

    • Led teams of up to 120 people, including a $750m common process solution across 22 countries
    • Designed and led the design and implementation of a new activity cost management process for an international oil company for opex costs running at £700million+ per annum
    • Led the setup of a new offshore procurement service center for 18 countries through 400+ offshore agents accessing 65+ business applications
