Course Content

The UTP universities provide a very wide range of taught modules - meeting the needs of nearly everyone seeking a career in transport.  To help prospective Masters students choose the university that best satisfies their specific interests needs, as well as to inform those seeking education in specific topics as part of their CPD, we provide here a summary of the modules available at each UTP member. The exact modules required for the completion of a Masters at a particular UTP university will depend on the course being followed; some courses include a combination of obligatory and optional modules, details of which can be obtained from the university.

As each UTP university accredits its own courses and modules, it is not possible to obtain a Masters by completing a set of modules from more than one university. However, some UTP universities may give credit for courses done previously and/or for prior work experience.

Funding Possibilities

Some funding support for full time UK students is available, although it is limited as EPSRC no longer funds Masters courses. Click here to find out more.

Transport as a Career

The UTP is supported with funds from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, which provides monies for studentships as well as co-operative activities.
