Study Options

All UTP courses can be followed on either a full-time or a part time basis.

Studying full-time takes a full year, starting in September or October with degrees awarded the following autumn, winter or spring, provided all the work has been completed on schedule and to the required standard.

Studying part-time normally takes between two and three years, with students usually attending the university for set days each week. However, some UTP universities permit the completion of their course over as long as five years.

Napier offers a distance learning option, which normally takes two years for completion.

Funding Possibilities

Some funding support for full time UK students is available, although it is limited as EPSRC no longer funds Masters courses. Click here to find out more.

Transport as a Career

The UTP is supported with funds from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council, which provides monies for studentships as well as co-operative activities.
